“I've always thought that math rock and rap could be a good pairing. The rap tones down the more scream-y/growl-y aspects of current metal and the math rock gives the rappers an interesting rhythm to put lyrics against. Sadly after a good start with Rage and Faith No More metal rap quickly became taken over by crap like Kid Rock, POD, and that band I shall not mention and ended up in the music ghetto before it could go in interesting directions. Still, there is some good to be found out there, especially when mathcore/math rock team up with rap. This isn't great but it is interesting.”
