1985 saw the now somewhat legendary release of the '25 O'Clock' mini-album by the Dukes which found an unexpected fan base among the likes of the embryonic Stone Roses and ultimately led to John Leckie's own stratospheric rise as the go-to producer of the 90s. #xtcweek #xtcfortnight   4

The Stone Roses don't sound quite as original now..

I know I didn't  stick to the 5 day or 2 day rule...but got Dukes of Stratosphere stuck in my mind and wanted to share (FYI - this is XTC doing covers in their own way - the whole album is amazing:) Enjoy some psychedelia covers done with XTC originality (ie... can you guess who they are covering?) Love their sense of humor:)   7

From XTC's #psychedelic pseudonym comes a 1985 masterpiece of pop psychedelia.   2
