Shortly after The Guess Who released this song they were invited to perform at the Nixon White House at the height of the Vietnam War.
Pat Nixon told the group they could not perform the song because it was deemed anti- American as it was supposedly a protest against the American War Machine. In reality is was more anti-American "groupies". "American woman, stay away from me/

This has always seemed like a good track to play while getting ready for a party, or going out on a Friday night! I luv it primarily for the excellent lead guitar sound and playing. Guess who's playing that guitar? Hmnn... I can feel the following track lined up already :)
