Next Sunday I am going to The Jam exhibition at Somerset House in London.....IMHO a fitting tribute to my all time favourite group as is my jam this week....if proof were needed just listen to the lyrics & a lesson in how to paint a picture using just words.....
Letter J for my #ABCofPunk and I really couldn't choose anyone other that The Jam. Perhaps I could have got away with Joy Division? It took me a while to select which track to play, but I kept coming back to Down in the Tubestation at Midnight.
I didn't get to see The Jam live, but in May, Paul Weller came into a Turkish restaurant (I was hiding in to get away from the crowds) in Kensington and sat on the table next to mine. I was quite relieved that he didn't ask me for my autograph and I had to delete a selfie I took that he happened to appear in, I just didn't look good in it!
