A beautiful lost Kinks song, from the Percy soundtrack.
The genius of Ray Davies: in anyone else's hands, this would sound twee or self-righteous.

@MOJOmagazine’s June 2002 issue was subtitled At the Movies and included compilation The Score, featuring 20 songs from soundtracks. I felt I should pick one of the dozen-plus instrumental offerings on the disc, but this glorious Kinks tune dwarfs the competition. Its original album appearance was the 1971 UK-only soundtrack to the dark comedy Percy, for which the band did the score.
