A mid 80s song by The Kinks that stands up to the classic era stuff in my opinion. Written by Dave Davies, who came up with a few gems over the years, Strangers, Rats etc...
You may have heard this over the closing credits of a Sopranos episode. Why was this never a bigger hit for them?
My response to http://www.lrb.co.uk/v33/n06/richard-j-evans/the-wonderfulness-of-us A book by a Tory whinger complaining that they don't teach Good British History in history classes anymore. They teach children how to think and who wants that?
Picked this one up from The Sopranos. Everything about this song is just perfect.
