What I like about this song is that it is autobiographical and tells a story about the folk music scene in California in the mid 1960s.It mentions by name ,Zal Yanovsky and John Sebastian (of The Lovin' Spoonful), Roger McGuinn (of The Byrds), and Barry McGuire (of The New Christy Minstrels). It also has one of my favorite line in a song - "And no one's gettin' fat except Mama Cass."
love this song, it's cute and it's a nice semi-live performance. also cass is brilliant
Love this, but I've always found the 'No one's getting fat except Mama Cass' line unnecessarily cruel.
