Virgina Astley put this to music. Haunting. Beautiful.
I have fond memories of this, but now can't make my mind up. My lovely wife says it reminds her of the child who sings 'The Snowman'. It was originally on the 'Mighty Reel' cassette which came free with the NME in 1982. Anyway my dear son has his English Literature GCSE and this Wilfred Owen poem is in the anthology he's studying. Moving and infuriating.
