Blues+2#5pt3 The Stones version, hugely important as it was No1 the week I was born over 20 years ago!   2

Recorded 51 years ago yesterday, in a studio in London this song remains the sole Blues song to make it to No1 in the British charts to date! Howling Wolf had recorded the Willie Dixon composed song three years previous in June 1961 and Wolf and Muddy Waters were prime influences for the Stones, particularly Brian Jones. Covering the song was a very brave move by the Stones as some doubters considered the bluesy number undancable and a reckless risk to their potential success, but that alarm proved unfounded and the rest as they say, is history!   6

A significant #BoneJam as it dates the Glove quite specifically.   2
