A TIMJ back-and-forth yesterday brought up the Brussels Affair, once a much sought after bootleg, now released by the Stones in all its louche glory. And they don't come much more louche than Star Star or as it's more properly known, Starfucker. Louche, also funny. The Stones have laughs, an underrated quality in any band, the absence of which is a dealbreaker for me when it comes to discussions of true greatness. (Suck it Cobain!). The idea that the record company lawyers sought permission to use the line "Ali McGraw got mad at you for givin' head to Steve McQueen" from the said Mr. McQueen, still cracks me up. Polaroids, tricks with fruit, get yer tongue beneath her hood. The Stones.....you magnificent, filthy beasts.
