An odd pairing, Aesop Rock and Kimya Dawson, but it definitely works. Another one of my favorites of the year.

New (to me) thing from Aesop Rock, who I've dug since the late Nineties. Still taking hip-hop in interesting directions. Hell of a good album.
Scooped this up in the End of Year frenzy, had passed me by until now. Aesop Rock & Kimya Dawson, an unlikely duo but works well.
TOP 13 of 2013! #9: Rapper Aesop Rock and folk singer Kimya Dawson came together for this odd, yet surprisingly catchy, group. One of the best "supergroups" I've ever heard.
