ahem, we continue here at #lookbackbore with more personal epiphanies and RYI (reflexive yawn inducement). Summer 1979, again... or was it 1978? Uh, anyway, pictured is one of my favorite compilations from that period. It sported a scratch and sniff cover: that big ti(y)re spelling out AKRON. My copy still has a feint scent of it, but man o manischewitz when it was current it was very stanky. VERY STANKY -- Just like the real thing. Am not from Akron, but Akron had quite a quirky and seminal music scene as you might know or have heard. Anyway, this was one of my fave tunes. It's about a low life heel,the type of cuckolding jerk that seemed prevalent in the 70's. I was marginally fond of The Waitresses, but this one swings, jocko.   5
