Stranger in Paradise by Tony Bennett
“This is the 7th in a 10 week series of the Top 10 Vocalists of the 20th Century. These are my choices. So many greats not on the list, and no intent to exclude any. In 1953, the producers of the upcoming Broadway musical Kismet had Tony Bennett record "Stranger in Paradise" as a way of promoting the show during a New York newspaper strike. The song reached the top, the show was a hit, and Bennett began a long practice of recording show tunes. "Stranger in Paradise" a number-one hit in the United Kingdom, (number 2 in the U.S.) and started Bennett's career as an international artist. The artists are in no particular order. Just in my personal Top 10. There will be 5 male & 5 female. We shall see who of the 10 gets the most views/likes. Enjoy !! #TonyBennett”
