My favorite piano melody from anything ever by a wide margin. The sky/heart/legs thing kills me still.
A little emo favourite of mine when I was younger
I was lucky to see Tori live last night in the Sydney Opera House performing with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra. At one stage she played 'Crucify' solo and I was reminded of the simplicity of her debut album before the 23 track concept albums, before the bells and whistles and glitz, before the self indulgent album art, before the Beekeeper! And I got quite nostalgic for that and as great as her performance was last night I wished I could've been back there listening to her back then, simple and effective and spinetingling, just like this song.
Between 1991-96ish, I listened to this album a million times. Since then, probably about ten. I always forget how stunning it is.
