I was in my teens when Toto IV hit the stores. Yes I'm that old. Back then I was covered in zits and filled with hormones and thought I was gonna live forever. I listened to this song and I thought I understood it just like I thought I understood everything. I just listened to it again just now after all these years and I realize I didn't understand anything back then. I hadn't been married yet. I hadn't been divorced yet. I hadn't lost both of my parents yet. I hadn't let all my friends and family drift away. I hadn't learned yet how precious life is, even when things don't go your way. I was born into a world where we'd land on the moon. Today I wake to a world where we landed an unmanned probe on a frikkin comet! Have you any idea how hard that is? Landing on the moon is easy compared to that.
I won't hold you back. Those words hold so many different meanings to me today that they didn't hold in 1982. Here's to all the different meanings yet to come. For better or worse.

This particular song by Toto, ALWAYS gives me a lump in my throat, and brings a tear to my eyes. Great Song!
