The opening to one of my favourite film soundtracks of recent years.
"Don't fish eat other fish?"
I couldn't have chosen any other song to end this with. There is just some blissful, delightful nostalgia and haunting beauty to this track. There's something about this mellow piano amidst the urgent, unstoppable, slightly chaotic and yet methodically perpetual, industrial, droning white noise violins that always gets me pensive. It's some kind of a mantra. Maybe a lament. Maybe a resigned soliloquy. I don't know. And it blooms. It grows. I could go on and on about this. There are also tons of good comments about it on youtube, from different personal portrayals of what is going on here. I strongly recommend you to read them. But first, most importantly: go ahead, listen to it and make your own. And let it reverberate through eternity, or as long as this lasts.
