"It occurred to me the suckers had authority." One of the best covers ever! "Black Steel" by Tricky is my jam.
Hard to pick the best song off one of the best albums of the 90's, but this would mine.
Listening to Public Enemy's 'It takes a nation of millions..'again this week reminded me of this ace version of 'Black Steel in the Hour of Chaos', and this version especially - longer and rockier than the single. Maxinquaye was such an important record to me in the 90's. Will revisit it soon!
