Nikdo nic nikdy nemá by Voskovec, Werich, Jezek

“(Loose) translation from Czech: "The whole humanity would be much happier if the things were not as they are. Nobody should anything take as definitive, because no one knows, what can happen. E.g. someone says that something will be such and such and in the end it is the exact opposite. If you say today: "The life is a dog", which animal would it be tomorrow? Because even that dog is not definitive and you could not know, if it will not become a wolf. Today is Thursday, tomorrow Friday, on Saturday some kind of holiday, on Sunday Mothers' Day... Because even the day is not definitive and you could not know if it will not become a night."”
