One of my most favourite pieces of jazz/jazz-fusion (& instrumental generally) music, featuring one of my most favourite bass players - in fact, one of my most favourite musicians - in Jaco Pastorius.

Biggest band in my life. I saw more of their gigs than any other band. I saw them play in more cities than any other band. I heard them jam in the tour bus outside a gig. I ripped the frets out of a bass guitar and got monster finger blisters because of this. The woman I married played a fretless bass and we very nearly called our son Jaco. Ah! the sheer number of happy times that has happened to me, to us with Weather Report as background music is incredible, and this is a very special track. I do not have enough words. Life-changing music. In the punk era. In the prog rock era, in the glam rock era, in the country rock era, cold war - no future era. Ahhhh! the seventies, OMG. It's all good. And still good...
