So. This jam could be a response to @lindatee and @21schizoid discussion of 80's music gets a rough ride, or it could be my recent 19 hour car (add the word ship instead) ride, for which the words "Save Me' are very appropriate. Or it could be that this is a fantastic song and Karl Wallinger is a cheeky chap with sharp witty lyrics. I tend to get a bit verbose, so I will wave goodbye for now! "ALL ABOARD"

In preparation for my upcoming 30th, I've been collating a Spotify playlist of tracks to mark each year. This, of course, has turned into a rather sprawling project covering 150+ songs but I thought that I'd try and showcase some of them on TIMJ. So to start off, the years 1984-86 and the imperious World Party.

This tune has been in my head for days - and that's not a bad thing!
World Party's main man Karl Wallinger, should be recognised far more than he is as a great tune writer. He's been off the scene ill for many years, but seems to be back writing and performing again - Hurrah.
"Ship of Fools?" - All aboard!!!
