I'm usually pretty outspoken about how much I despise J-Pop, and how it makes a shitshow out of the worst aspects of western pop. But I think Utada is a weird exception to that rule. She's got very good ideas when it comes to self expression, and her pretty voice is what ultimately ascends her. Anyway, I think "Ultra Blue" is a pretty nice album
