#LastJam - It’s funny how music connects and shines a ray of light in some mysterious way on not only aspects of our lives but also our daily state of mind. Probably more amusing and enlightening is how it can change that state of mind like no other medicine could. It was by some bizarre coincidence that I came upon this site and it has brought me a lot of solace and joy. It helped me through some difficult moments. At the same time it was a microcosm of the good side of life.
Probably that's because we just enjoyed the music and didn’t have to bother about anything else. But like many who have touched upon this point – a surprisingly lovely community of music lovers with just good vibes. Have learnt a whole lot about different music in all its guises and also thankful to the people who opened their minds (and mine) to music from other languages and genres.
It is unfortunate that this wonderful forum did not grow to be a bigger space for new music lovers and increase the diversity.It was that lovely human touch – comments made in genuine good spirit and appreciation, the occasional jokes and the fun we had during #Week themes that made this a special place. I would like to thank you all for your kindness, spirit and friendship. It has meant a whole lot to me.
Guess most of us will meet on some other space and hopefully continue this musical journey in some form. To those that may not cross paths again, thank you for the music and the good times. cheers!
Ah beautifully put Sooraj - well, you are ending on a great jam. I'm imagining sweeping up the beer cans on the aftermath of the TIMJ farewell party. You always made me smile. Hope to find you somewhere on the other side : ) x
