That's some intense drumming, I like this a lot. :-)

@yrmonster It really is. Awesome. Glad you enjoyed it!

@ableeyes Glad you like it! I only had the shiningsun2k page up until this year. I decided to add a page for hip-hop and one for metal/hard rock because those are the two genres that a lot of people either love or don't care for and are sensitive to. You'll still find the occasional example at shiningsun2k since it remains my anything goes page. I would have told you, but I try not to solicit too much. Thanks for checking them out! :)

Have I heard this band before?? Probably not, otherwise I definitely would have remembered! I absolutely love this, especially from 3:30 onwards. Will queue them on Spotify. Thanks!!

@redheadx Yep, they caught your attention when you checked out my last Jam Odyssey. I actually remember you listing them as one of the bands you wanted to hear more from. You can't go wrong with them, but you should definitely check out "Dust Nation Bleak" and "Firewell", both of which I jammed on the other page a couple years ago and I might still jam again here. Both are face melters: http://youtu.be/3QXglHsykQo. And http://youtu.be/ePF-CcATGLA.

@redheadx And just in case you'd like to see a good and humorous Taylor Swift cover from a couple years ago: http://youtu.be/ZT-_a-egzq0

@ssrock Uh-oh seriously?? :O (blush of shame) I'll have to put that right. The two other tracks are killing as well. And theTaylor Swift cover is hilarious, haha that intro! OK I actually just queued them on my Spotify list, honestly :)

ssrock

@redheadx No worries. There's way too much new music on here to possible be able to keep track of it all. I'm glad you like what you've heard of Jolly so far though. Yeah, the intro on the Taylor Swift cover is great, but check out the end after the credits too, if you haven't already, where they're trying to make sense of the lyrics. :)

Tuff stuff!

6 years, 4 months ago

ssrock

@debutch Is that a positive thing? If so, and I think it is, then glad you like! :)

debutch

Haha! Yes, of course it is! :-) this has secured a place on my " must check out" list :-)

ssrock

@debutch Wow! I didn't expect you to find it that interesting! If I may suggest taking a look at this vid for a somewhat more upbeat/lighter song: http://youtu.be/Tw0B1DbPIic. And I linked redheadx to a couple of the heavier ones I posted before. They're really all across the board. Silly, heavy, dark, beautiful and atmospheric...and their videos, which they create entirely on their own, are often very interesting as well.

@ssrock—Oh man! You’ve sure made my day! Prompted by this one, I’m listening at the moment to their whole ‘The Audio Guide To Happiness’, and that’s, apparently, what I needed desperately! An awesome jam and a great discovery for me! Hail TIMJ! You’ve made my headphones happy…

ssrock

@reagantesla Glad you dig it and happy to give something worthwhile to those who are always turning me onto new, great stuff. :)

ssrock

@homosporocarpus I'm glad you decided to investigate further and it was worth your while! Audio Guide part 2 and part 2 are both great. And these guys are completely awesome, laid back, friendly, hilarious dudes, which also makes it easy to like them. They even managed to maintain their spirits when their little studio/home/practice space in New York was flooded during Hurricane Sandy, destroying all of their equipment a couple years ago.

ssrock

@homosporocarpus Thankfully, one of the guys' kid brother-in-law begged them to take the master recording of the Audio Guid albums, which they hadn't released yet, with or else it would have been lost and the album may never have come to pass.

@ssrock—all I can say is ‘thanks’. This is… awesome… in here. I like the ‘in here’ now a lot…

@homosporocarpus You're very welcome, my friend. And lastly, for a good laugh, you should watch this cover they did for fun a couple years ago: http://youtu.be/ZT-_a-egzq0. Both the intro and the outro (after the credits) are pretty hilarious.
