and it was thumped

I couldn't decide which Bobby McFerrin tune to jam. I love all of his stuff, from Don't Worry Be Happy which was his "one shot wonder" to his cover of The Beatles' Blackbird, to the many improvisations he's done over the years with people he just pulls out of his own audience, to his extensive work conducting many symphonies throughout the world. I couldn't pick just one song to jam, but then I remembered this. During a symposium about the sciences of the mind, in response to a question about the expectations of the human brain, McFerrin demonstrates something he has done with audiences for years throughout the world, and it's so simple, but at the same time so amazing. What he demonstrates is universal. Anywhere in the world he goes, from New York to Japan, everybody gets this. It's like it's a part of our DNA. There is music that plays inside each and every one of us all the time. People like McFerrin can tap into it. Scientists still can't fully explain how or why this works.   8
