[Trigger warning: #nudity#nsfw] Here Erykah Badu wanders through to Dealey Plaza from Elm Street, following the route Kennedy's motorcade took and halts at the point where JFK was hit with the fatal headshot.
Unfortunately I can't seem to link to a good copy of the video herein, so you'll have to hunt that down for yourself. I'll try to describe it. Around March of 2010, Erykah Badu climbed out of a car that dropped her off at Dealey Plaza in downtown Dallas, Texas. I'm familiar with the area as I live here too. She walks down the street to where JFK was assassinated while stripping off her clothes. Once naked, and in front of uninformed passersby, she falls to the ground as a gunshot is heard. From her head bleeds out the word "groupthink." Needless to say her impromptu nudity for the camera caused some controversy around here. The song itself stands up with or without the video. She was just trying to make a point. Some call her crazy. Some say she's a sensationalist. I say she's being herself, and expressing herself as she deems fit. I'm cool with that. She's a fellow Texan, quite a singer/songwriter, and to borrow a line from Firefly's Malcolm Reynolds, she's my kind of crazy.
