Besides the fact that Mike is a fantastic guitarist, songwriter, and performer, I like this video because it was shot in my neighborhood, mostly on J Street in Midtown Sac. The record store he's hanging out in was The Beat, which sadly closed earlier this year. Phono Select, a smaller independent store run by a couple of friends, also went bye-bye back in February, which is pretty much an indication that record stores are a thing of the past. Not that they'll disappear completely, of course.
